IN glorious weather, thousands turned out for the Bluewater Festival and the start of the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race at Shorncliffe on Good Friday.
Families and friends came from near and far to enjoy perfect weather, entertainment, food stalls and the 69th annual yacht race.
Black Jack claimed her fourth consecutive Line Honours win crossing the finish line of the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race at 9.56am on Saturday.
However the Courier Mail Cup was won by less than 13 seconds by Ichi Ban skippered by Australian Sailing president Matt Allen in 1 day 16 hours and 10.43 seconds (on corrected time).
Local yachts got to Gladstone on Sunday with Samurai Jack skippered by Michael Lazzarini crossing the line at 4.30am, Marriah skippered by Peter Holm crossing the line at 10.26am and Sassy skippered by Phil Lazzarini crossing the line 11.15am.
The other Brisbane to Gladstone winners were IRC: Div 1 - Ichi Ban, Div 2 - Wistari, Overall - Ichi Ban; ORCi Div 1 - Alive, Div 2 - Wistari, Overall - Alive; PHRF Div 1 - Kerisma Line 7, Div 1 - Dream, Veteran Div - Flying Colours 2, Short Handed - Apriori, Overall - Flying Colours 2; and Crusing: Marriah.
