SOME of Australia's finest musicians will headline the Day on the Bay music festival to be held in Brighton in October.

Daryl Braithwaite, Joe Camilleri, Wendy Matthews, Eurogliders, Sarah De Bono and former Choirboys frontman Mark Gable will perform at the event in Decker Park on Saturday, October 7 from 2-7.30pm.

The event is being organised by the Sandgate and Districts Chamber of Commerce and president Bill Gollan said excitement was building about the event.

"We are bringing together some of Australia's greatest music talent," Mr Gollan said.

"It will bring people from all over to enjoy a cool breeze and great music beside the shore of beautiful Moreton Bay."

The festival will conclude with the musicians combining for a big grand finale.

There will also be gourmet food trucks and licensed bars at various points on site.

There are 4000 tickets available to the Day on the Bay festival and residents living in postcodes 4017, 4018 and 4034 can access pre-sale tickets from July 19 to August 2, before they are opened up to the wider community.

Tickets are $79 plus booking fee, with VIP packages including food and drinks at $220 plus booking fee.

Local residents can quote '4017' in the code section prior to August 2 to access pre-sale tickets, which are available at sandgatechamber.com.au.

Decker Park is located near Twenty-Fifth Avenue.
