"I WANT to be brutally honest about suicide because we did nothing wrong - with our family it just happened."
Daisy Buckley was composed as she spoke about the death of her 15-year-old daughter Katherine-Christine "Katherine" Buckley.
Katherine had moved with her family from Coonamble in New South Wales to Bundaberg in June 2013 and three months later took her own life.
She said Katherine was a bubbly, friendly, normal teenage girl who never had trouble making friends.
Mrs Buckley and Katherine's father, Matt, have organised a day to remember Katherine on the second anniversary of her death.
"We want to remove the stigma which is attached to suicide," Mrs Buckley said.
"There was no history of mental health with Katherine and the natural instinct of a human being is to fight for life so we have no answers to why she did it.
"It wasn't a logical thought.
"She was a sensible girl who had her first job at 13.
"We thought we wouldn't have to worry about her, out of all our children. It just happened so fast."

Mrs Buckley said in the week of her death Katherine seemed a little "aggressive" and they had taken her mobile phone away from her.
"It was the worst thing we could have done that week as she couldn't connect with her peers," she said.
"We do believe social media may have had something to do with it.
"On that day she stormed out of the house - we wanted to let her calm down but by the time we found her it was too late."
Family friend Holly Davidson said she thought Mrs Buckley was brave for speaking out about the death of her daughter in a mission to raise awareness.
"It's not something you get over - it's just something you learn to live with," Ms Davidson said.
"The Wear Purple for Katherine Day is calling for more awareness and support on suicide."
