Fire destroys house in Strathpine

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a suspicious fire which destroyed a house in Strathpine this morning.

Emergency services were called to Bells Pocket Road around 4.15am to find a vacant home well alight.

Police closed the intersection of Lawnton Pocket Road and Bells Pocket Road while fire fighters brought the blaze under control.

The house, which was listed for sale, was destroyed.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have been in the vicinity at the time and who may have seen anything suspicious to contact Policelink on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 .
