About Us:

The Bayside and Northern Suburbs Star has been part of the North Brisbane community since its first edition on November 18, 1987. It is published each Wednesday, with the exception of our annual two-week break over Christmas.

The Star is delivered to 14 suburbs in Brisbane’s north-east – Aspley, Bald Hills, Boondall, Bracken Ridge, Brighton, Carseldine, Deagon, Fitzgibbon, Geebung, Sandgate, Shorncliffe, Taigum, Virginia and Zillmere. Bulk deliveries are also made to businesses within our circulation area.

Editorial content primarily consists of local news relevant to the distribution area of the paper, augmented with regular features such as Health, Beauty and Fitness; Travel and Leisure; Home Improvements; Motoring Scene; Real Estate and Boating & Fishing. Our local Trades & Services and Classifieds are also a substantial section of our publication.

The Star has been a dominant force in North Brisbane’s local media thanks to its high ethical standards in reporting, its level of community involvement and, of course, great value advertising in both display and classifieds coupled with attentive and friendly service.
